Welcome to Authenticator - Vault & Locker. Your privacy and data security are our top priorities. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information within the SafeKey application.

1. Data Ownership & Encryption

SafeKey is an Offline-First security application. All your passwords, cards, and notes are encrypted using AES-256 Military Grade Encryption. The encryption key is derived directly from your Master PIN, which we do not store on our servers. You are the sole owner of your data.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Information: If you use the Cloud Sync feature, we collect your email via Google Sign-In to authenticate your Firebase storage.
• Encrypted Vault Data: If Cloud Backup is enabled, your encrypted vault data is stored on Google Firebase. This data is unreadable to us or anyone without your Master PIN.
• Device Information: We may generate a unique Guard ID based on your device hardware to assist in PIN recovery.

3. Permissions & Their Usage

To provide advanced security features, SafeKey requires the following permissions:

• Camera: Used for the Intruder Selfie and AI Peeping Detection features. Photos are stored locally and are never shared.
• Accessibility Service: Required for the App Lock feature to detect when a protected app is opened and display the lock screen instantly.
• Usage Access: Used to monitor foreground applications for the App Lock system.
• Notification Access: Required for Smart OTP Detection to identify login codes in incoming SMS and show the floating bubble.
• Display Over Other Apps: Needed to show the App Lock screen and OTP Bubbles on top of other applications.

4. Cloud Sync & Third-Party Services

We use Google Firebase for optional cloud backup and authentication. When you sync data, it is uploaded in an encrypted format. We also provide a Dark Web Monitor tool which uses a WebView to access HaveIBeenPwned. We do not transmit your actual passwords to any third-party service; only the email address you provide is checked for public data breaches.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• You can delete specific items at any time, which moves them to the Recycle Bin.
• The "Clear All Data" option in settings permanently wipes all local and cloud data associated with your account.
• If you uninstall the app without a cloud backup or local export, all data will be permanently lost.

6. Security Measures

We implement Anti-Screenshot (FLAG_SECURE) technology throughout the app to prevent unauthorized screen recording or capturing of your sensitive information. Our Disguise Mode (Calculator Lock) and Fake Crash features provide additional layers of physical security against intruders.

7. Children's Privacy

SafeKey does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Our app is intended for use by individuals who can manage their own digital security.
